My Trip From Being In Washington D.C. For A Rally For Medical Research

I went to a rally for medical research in Washington D.C. for Hydrocephalus and for other diseases that don't have cures. On Wednesday they talked about training and what was going to happen for the rally day kickoff on Thursday. Later that day on Wednesday we had a reception in the Kennedy Caucus Room which was very cool. I got to meet with a girl who had the same heart problem as me, and even got to see miss America. On Thursday I got to meet with some congressmen which was... really cool because I got to meet with David Joyce, I met with Brad Couts, Sherrod Brown, and others that couldn't make the meetings. Then on Friday we didn't have any more meetings so we got to relax, and on Saturday we went to dinner, with my aunt, and I got to meet two of her friends and got to see one of her friends that I had already met when I was in Washington D.C. for my 7th and 8th grade trip from a long time ago. Next on Sunday we had left Washington D.C. and drove to come home. Finally, we are home and I am glad to be back, so that I can share what it was like to be in D.C. with my family and friends. The End. Also I was glad that I got to do this, because before we left yesterday and got home, I met this adorable little boy named GianCarlo and I was very happy to know that my video I made for my senior year of high school has inspired so many kids, teens, and even families. I just hope that one day there might be a cure, because the only treatment for hydrocephalus is a shunt and that's it. September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month and it matters to me because it doesn't have a cure yet.   

When I was in Washington D.C. it was absolutely amazing to meet people, families, and even more amazing to know that my video has helped them and that some of the people from the hydrocephalus association are using it in training, and I was just very happy to know that families like the one that I had met on Sunday before coming home after having a good time meeting them in person, were glad to know that my video has helped them, and their adorable little boy. I think that being at the rally for medical research was a good experience for me and hydrocephalus matters and because September is hydrocephalus awareness month and this month matters. I hope that if there was a conference or something like this, that I would be able to go to either one or maybe even both. The End. I have hydrocephalus and it doesn't have a cure.

September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month And It Matters To Me Because I have it and so many other kids, teenagers, and adults have it as well. Not only do so many people besides me have it, but there is not a cure for Hydrocephalus yet and the only treatment for it is having a shunt put in.

Myself and what I think

Hi my name is Elizabeth Nicole Holthouse I am 19 years old, and I live in Willard Ohio. I will be twenty in September and I was born on September 29th 1994. I love to write, read, swim, play piano, sing, be with family and friends. I like to go to youth group and learn more about our Savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. I want to be author so that I can share my stories with others and so that they can read them. I also like reading God's word and sharing scriptures with others because then it helps them learn more about God and who he is. I wouldn't leave where I live because it's one place where I can see kids I went to school with, it's a place where I can go to church and worship, it's even a place where I can visit my school that I graduated from in 2013. I would like to have one of my stories published because I think it would be really cool and awesome to know that I wrote something for others to read, and it would also make me feel really good too. I am kind, caring, loving, funny, happy, nice, sweet, and a good person to be around. I love my family, friends, but most importantly I love my Savior most of all. You see God loves everyone just like we love others, and he doesn't have favorites because he doesn't choose who he loves, because he already loves all of us so there isn't really a reason for him to choose who he loves, or cares about because cares for everyone too, just like we care about others. He forgives those who have made mistakes and we forgive those too who have made mistakes. We should love others for who they are. If someone doesn't know Jesus we should pray for them because then God will help them and because just praying for them is helping them out so that they can know Jesus Christ who died on the cross for their sins. I would like to share a bible verse with you, and that bible verse is John 3:16 and it says: For God So Loved The World That He Gave His One And Only Son That Whoever Believes In Him Shall Not Perish But Have Everlasting Life. That is a verse of scripture that should always be remembered because it is a great verse to read in the bible. Talking about faith with others and sharing our faith with others is something that can help them too because then they are learning about faith as well. If you know someone who doesn't go to church, then invite them to church with you so that they can learn more about our Savior and our savior is wonderful, awesome, loving and kind. So I hope you remember that our God is powerful, caring, and so great because he can do all things.

Things I like and love

I know I haven't written in a while, but now I am writing again. I have written so many stories that I think I have lost track of how many, but I know it's a lot. I have written songs, I haven't written one in awhile or recently but I have written them before. I play the piano on Friday afternoons because I have piano lessons at my church. Today, I don't have a lesson, and I won't until May 2nd. I like to read and I like to write. I like to sing and play the piano. I am still doing my homeschooling at home, and I probably should be getting back to doing that soon. I like doing yoga and I probably should be doing that again real soon. I love my family, and my friends. I love my savior. I am thankful for a lot of things in my life.  I love the church I go to. I like to speak spanish. I try to practice writing and saying things in spanish when I can. I am glad that I created a video that will help kids like me. I enjoy going to youth group on Sunday nights because I get to have fun and learn new things. I can't wait for my sister's wedding because I know it will be awesome and fun. I like playing games, and drawing pictures. I like to paint pictures on my computer because it is very fun. I am glad that there are different Christian movies in theaters and on DVD. The movie grace unplugged is an awesome movie just like the movie God's not dead, and so many others. I like to play my keyboard because it's cool. I like visiting my grandparents and my grandma. I don't know what else to write, so I am going to stop right here because I think that's all I can write for now, so I hope you enjoy what I have written and you'll just have to wait till I can figure out what to write more about.

My Senior Project

On Wednesday January 9, 2013. I had to present my Senior Project to some teachers, some staff members, my parents, and my brother. I did my senior project on a video documentary on my learning disability, and the name of my video was called Normal On The Outside. So after I was done presenting, I answered some questions from the judges and then left signed out in our school's library, and before I left I had a short interview with one of the seniors and then I had left the school. Later on my parents and I went to go eat supper. Then my brother had posted the video that I showed at my presentation on www.youtube.com on Tuesday January 8, 2013. After awhile we had also posted it on www.faceboook.com so people could see it that way too. I couldn't believe that after we had posted it on youtube and facebook how many views it has gotten on youtube already and even on facebook I couldn't believe all the messages, friend requests, and comments I had gotten. I think it is really cool that I could share my video on both youtube and facebook so that other people could see it. I hope that others will continue to share my video documentary on facebook and that the people who have seen it will be to go to www.youtube.com and watch it there or just go to www.facebook.com and watch it there because I would like other people to see how I am diffferent from them and also how I am different from my classmates. Finally, I would like for those who have not seen it to know that other kids with the same thing that I have are not alone and that I understand what it feels like to be lonely or feel left out, because there is a song called Simple Plan Welcome To My Life on www.youtube.com and this is a song that I had chosen for my senior project because it describes me and probably other kids who are like me as well.

My Senior Year

I am excited that this is my senior year of high school, but it is also hard for me to believe already that this will be my last year at Willard High School. There is alot of things that I like about my senior year and those things include being able to do theater, being in choir, being in English, Spanish one, and so much more. There are other things about my senior year of high school that are great like being able to do the musical in the spring after the fall play and then there are the choir concerts and I can't believe that this will be my last of choir performances and theater performances. Also, it is still fun though. Finally, I think my senior year will be great and I think it will be fun.

What is like to have my Hydrocephauls

My name is Elizabeth Nicole Holthouse, and I have Hydrocephauls. What Hydrocephauls is water on the brain. Now I was born with it, so I can't do a whole lot of things. Some things that I can not do are go on roller coasters, do cartwheels, flips, and stand upside down. Then there are some things I can do like go swimming, jump some on the trampoline, and go on some rides that are safe. It has been very hard sometimes explaining to people what Hydrocephauls is. Now I have a hydrocephauls bear, from the Hydrocephauls Association that helps me explain what Hydrocephauls is. There is another thing that I have with my hydrocephauls and those things are called seizures. I haven't had in a seizure in a while but if I ever had a seizure again it would be nice if I could have a seizure dog. The only problem, with trying to get one now, is that they cost so much money. Until, I heard about this show, from my grandma where they showed a place called Canine Assitants, which are located in Georiga. When I was watching the show, it was pretty cool how they showed someone like me who has epilepsy give someone a seizure dog. Sometimes, I really wish that I could go to the place and have a seizure dog of my own. One day, I hope can go there and get a seizure dog.

My Summer Vacation

My summer vaction is really great because I get to swim in my pool, spend time with my family and my cousins. I also get to play the piano at the Willard Christian Reformed Church, on Fridays for piano lessons and on Sundays for church to help out with booth. I also like my summer vacation because I got to go to one of my friend's birthday party yesterday.
